Most shorts advertised as "plastic-free" really aren't. Brands use the term "exclusive of trim" so that they can say their products are 100% Cotton. There's nothing illegal about this, but it's sort of a half truth. While the main fabric may be 100% cotton, the waistbands are still spandex or elastane, which are still plastic and not biodegradable.

We use a completely natural waistband made with 50% Natural Rubber and 50% Organic Cotton. This ensures that the Pure Short is truly 100% Plastic-Free.

Not only is this better for your skin and overall health, it also means they're completely biodegradable. Everything in these shorts, from the main fabric to the thread and tags is natural. That's why we call them the Pure Short.
