With MARO's Circular Promise, customers are encouraged to return items to us when they're done with them in exchange for 10% of the purchase price in store credit. We then work with our suppliers and partners to ensure that the fibers are recycled into new athletic apparel, upcycled, or composted.

This helps support our mission to keep our athletic apparel out of landfills.

In the United States, 11.3 million tons of textile waste end up in landfills every year, which is about 81.5 pounds per person.

Our committment to circularity doesn't mean that our apparel is less durable or won't last as long, it just means we care about the impact of our garments beyond the time of purchase.

We don't anticipate any circular returns just yet, but will add a contact form in the coming months.

In the meantime, here's how it'll work:

1. BUY

You purchase an item (or several) from us.

You wear your new apparel until you no longer need it, whether it's six months, four years, or two decades from now.

When you've decided you're done with it, let us know via the contact form on this page. Some items will have a QR code on the tag. We'll provide you with a shipping label free of charge. Kindly wash your items one more time before sending them to us. You can schedule a free USPS pickup here or if it fits, just leave the package in your mailbox. Super easy.

Once we recieve your items, we'll issue you a gift card for 10% of your original purchase price. This means that you'll receive $5 for a $50 item, bringing the lifetime cost down to $45.

We will work with our suppliers or recycling partners to give your items a new life. Most of our items will be turned into new athletic apparel, but some like our organic toe socks, gets repurposed for industrial purposes. Either way, not a single MARO item that gets returned to us will end up in a landfill.
